What time is F1's 2026 Spanish Grand Prix? Full weekend schedule
Presented by Apple TV
The excitement is palpable as Formula 1® heads to a new track for the first time this year, with the Madring, just outside the Spanish capital, taking on the Spanish Grand Prix title.
The circuit, based around the IFEMA Exhibition Centre, is 3.365 miles long with 22 corners, including La Monumental, a huge right-hander which is set to become the longest banked corner in F1.
Kimi Antonelli leads the championship heading in, backed up by an epic win from the back of the grid in Monza, so can the rest of the title challengers regroup? Or has Antonelli proven he's on another level?
There will be plenty of attention on the home Spanish drivers, as the fans will be spoiled for choice between Williams's Carlos Sainz and Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin.
Sainz is involved with the track and organiser of the race, and said: "With the way they've put the barriers and the design of the track is going to be one of the biggest challenges in Formula 1 recently.
"The track reminds me a lot of Jeddah, reminds me a lot of Baku, even reminds me a bit of Macau in some ways. So having that in an F1 with a 1000bhp is going to be quite an interesting challenge."
Will it be Alonso's final Spanish Grand Prix? The decision isn't made, but that uncertainty adds an extra layer of intrigue to proceedings.
