This week’s edition of The Race MotoGP Podcast features the latest instalment in our ‘Toby Talks’ interview series, with racer-turned-pundit Sylvain Guintoli the latest guest to sit down for a chat with Toby Moody.

Guintoli, a World Superbike and Endurance World Championship title winner and a racer and extensive tester of MotoGP bikes, discusses the highs and lows of his career including his short spell in British Superbikes, his championship-winning World Superbikes campaign, and his more recent move into MotoGP punditry.

Along the way there are amusing stories behind the various deals he’s signed over the years, anecdotes about overtaking Valentino Rossi on home soil, plus a vivid description of what it takes to get a MotoGP bike off the line quickly.

Among other things, there’s also discussion about his crucial role developing Suzuki’s 2020 title-winning MotoGP bike, whether French compatriot Johan Zarco will ever win a MotoGP race, and what makes Marc Marquez so special.
