With the real-world motorsport calendar looking empty in the months ahead and so many of you transferring your attention to esports, we’re compiling a constantly updated list of when and where the top-level simraces are happening.

BRDC Esports Championship Round 1 – Silverstone

When: May 14, 19:00 UK time
Where to watch: Live on the ApexRacingTV YouTube channel

About: Set up to raise money for the NHS, the championship will feature 40 drivers from the BRDC racing against one another. Drivers taking part include Dario Franchitti, Gary Paffett, Anthony Davidson, Oliver Turvey, Jason Plato and Billy Monger.

Subaru iRX All-Star Invitational Final Race – Hell Lankebanen

When: May 15, 23:00 UK Time
Where to watch: Live on the iRacing YouTube channel

About: In this series featuring real-life racing drivers from IndyCar, Rallycross and NASCAR, drivers will be competing for a $10,000 prize pot with the winner claiming the money for a charity of their choice. Drivers taking part include 2016 Indy 500 winner Alexander Rossi, four-time US rallycross champion Scott Speed and World Rallycross driver Andreas Bakkerud.

The Race All-Star Series – Season 2 Round 3

When: May 16, 17:00 UK time

Venturi Shoot Allstars 5

About: The third round of the second season, with pro drivers, sim racers and legendary drivers all in their own category and all racing open wheelers. New to the Legends Trophy this week is Monaco Grand Prix winner Olivier Panis.

iRacing Indy 500

When: May 16, 17:45 UK time

Scott McLaughlin IndyCar iRacing 2020

About: The quickest oval racing drivers come together for a virtual running of the famous Indy 500 race. It’s the latest of iRacing’s special events which celebrate the biggest events in the real world motorsport calendar by running them on iRacing too.

Formula E Race at Home Challenge Series Round 4

When: May 16, 15:30 UK Time
Where to watch: Formula E YouTube channel

About: Formula E’s sim racing championship run on rFactor 2. Maximilian Guenther and Pascal Wehrlein currently share the wins in the previous rounds. Alongside the pros race featuring current Formula E drivers, there’s also a challenge race featuring some of the fastest rFactor 2 players around.

SRO E-Sports GT Series Am Round 1 – Silverstone

When: May 16, TBD UK Time
Where to watch: GT World YouTube channel

About: The amateur class of the SRO E-Sports GT Series that launched in April with its Pro (for real racers) and Silver Cup (for sim drivers) categories. While the likes of Raffaele Marciello, Jenson Button and Andrea Caldarelli battle it out in the Pro races, regular simracers have the opportunity to compete against each other in the Am category. Based on the Assetto Corsa Competizione platform, it follows the same qualifying and race format, with the finale featuring the best drivers from all three categories in the same encounter.

SRO Esport GT Series Round 3 – Nurburgring

When: May 17, 13:00 UK Time
Where to watch: Live on the GTWorld YouTube channel

About: The former Blancpain series gets an esport championship with a Pro, Silver and Am class. Alongside some top GT racers like Raffaele Marciello, Jenson Button will also compete in his own team. The Pro and Silver drivers are invited, while regular simracers can drive their way into the Am class.  The multi-round series is based on the Assetto Corsa Competizione platform, and its finale will feature a mix of the best drivers from all three categories in the same encounter.

Formula SimRacing World Championship Race 5 – Monaco

When: May 17, 18:40 UK Time,

About: A long running, Formula 1 inspired championship that ran its first season in 2001. Held on rFactor 2, this championship has hosted some of the best names in sim racing, including All-Stars Race winner Jernej Simoncic who won the FSR title in 2019. Also McLaren Shadow driver Bono Huis, won the world drivers’ championship every year from 2010 to 2014.

Pre-Season WTCR Esports Series Race 4 – Sepang International Circuit

When: May 18, 18:30 UK Time

About: A four-race championship run on RaceRoom and featuring several WTCR drivers racing alongside the fastest sim racers. The reigning WTCR drivers’ champion, Norbert Michelisz, will be taking part – he had started his own real-world racing career off the back of his impressive performances in online racing.

rFactor 2 GT Challenge Series Race 6 – Le Mans

When: May 18, 19:00 UK time
Where to watch: Live on the rFactorLive Twitch channel

About: The feeder series to the main GT Pro Series, also shown on our YouTube channel. The race features a 30-driver grid, with them all in GT3 cars and fighting for a spot in the next season of the GT Pro Series.

British F4 iRacing Trophy Round 4 – Oulton Park

When: May 18, 19:30 UK time
Where to watch: Live on the British F4 YouTube channel

About: Free entry to a single round of the 2020 British F4 season is up for grabs in the championship’s online contest, to be held between April and June across seven rounds on various UK tracks. Each round will feature two races, the second of which will have a fully-reversed grid. A number of past and current British F4 drivers have signed up.

Supercars All Stars Eseries Round 7 – Daytona Speedway and Talladega

When: May 20, 10:00 UK Time
Where to watch: Kayo Sports if you live in Australia, Supercars’ Facebook page

About: Supercars has done a great job with mixing its real-life stars with invited guests, with Max Verstappen and Will Power, Joey Logano and Alexander Rossi joining in previous rounds.

GPVWC Superleague Round 6 – Canadian Grand Prix

When: May 21. 19:30 UK Time

Fabio Sixta wins Bahrain GPVWC

About: A Formula 1 inspired championship run by fans of the sport without any backing by a major motorsport brand. The unique part of this series is each team is run by a team manager that has lots of complicated management systems to handle behind the scenes, including car upgrades that are added by teams as the season progresses.

Porsche Esports Supercup Race 3 – Donnington Park Circuit

When: May 23, 14:00 UK Time
Where to watch: Live on the iRacing YouTube channel

About: The second running of the Porsche-backed esports championship. A $200,000 prize pot is up for grabs with 40 drivers taking part, including Formula 1 race winner Max Verstappen.

About: The 11th year of the eNASCAR series on iRacing has a $300,000 prize fund and is endorsed by NASCAR itself. Stewart-Haas Racing and NASCAR Cup Series drivers Denny Hamlin, Kyle Larson and William Byron all have their own esports teams competing for the first time.

TCR Europe SIM Racing Round 3 – Hungaroring

When: May 27, 18:00 UK Time
Where to watch: Live on TCR TV YouTube channel

About: As part of TCR’s global simracing programme, the European touring car category is holding a seven-round replacement series. Each round will feature a 20-minute qualifying session and two races, with the top 10 finishers reversed on the grid for the second race. Set-ups will not be frozen.
