Only 16 cars will line up on the grid for Formula 1's Qatar Grand Prix sprint.
With the chance of scoring remote from the back of the grid in the 19-lap mini-race, three teams have elected to breach parc ferme - on one or both of their cars - in order to make changes.
Aston Martin's decision to pull Lance Stroll from the grid promotes Racing Bulls driver Liam Lawson from 17th to 16th.
The other three drivers to forfeit their grid positions - Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton and the Alpine duo of Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto - were due to occupy the final places on the grid anyway.
In all four cases, changes were made to the suspension set-up. Ferrari also fitted a different spec rear wing to Hamilton's car, while Aston Martin changed specs of steering rack and column rack on Stroll's car, as well as making "further modifications to the diffuser edge and parameters associated with the energy management calibration".
