Pre-season Formula 1 testing kicked off on Wednesday at Barcelona, with The Race F1 Podcast team prowling the pitlane and paddock for early signs ahead of the new season.
Mark Hughes and Gary Anderson join Edd Straw to give their verdict on the battle of the top three and explain why Ferrari’s pace on the timesheets isn’t a problem but its car concept might prove to be.
There’s also a look at Red Bull and Mercedes, with Hughes having watched the cars closely from trackside and Anderson being able to look closely at them in the pits.
The midfield contenders are discussed too, including the question of whether the Racing Point really is a ‘pink Mercedes’ and if Williams has rejoined the midfield pack.
