F1 podcast: Is Red Bull right to spurn Lawson for Tsunoda and Ricciardo?

The Japanese Grand Prix has already brought more twists to Formula 1's driver market with McLaren extending Oscar Piastri's contract until the end of 2026 and Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda emerging as the favourites to drive for AlphaTauri next year.

That would leave stand-in ace Liam Lawson without a seat for next year, so what can Red Bull do? Should it push for him to drive for Williams, would Williams want him over Logan Sargeant and would Lawson spending a further year on the sidelines be a waste?

The Race F1 Podcast host Edd Straw is joined by Glenn Freeman and F1.com's Lawrence Barretto to discuss all those questions as well as why McLaren was so keen to lock down Piastri.

There's also talk of whether Red Bull's Singapore dip will be repeated and whether Ferrari's recent revival can be sustained.
