Isle of Man TT 2025 schedule revised again after more delays

Race action at the 2025 Isle of Man TT has been delayed by at least another day, as low cloud over Snaefell Mountain meant Saturday’s planned day-long practice had to be first delayed and then cancelled completely after only a single lap was completed by the superbike and superstock machines and half a lap by the sidecars.

After Friday evening running was cancelled, Saturday’s first session was initially due to get under way at 10:30 but then delayed early this morning to 13:00.

As it eventually began, clouds rolling in over the mountain section of the course left the essential air ambulance helicopters unable to fly and led to riders on their second lap returning to the paddock under yellow flag conditions.

It was dry enough to get in one fast lap, however, and it was reigning Senior TT winner Davey Todd able to make headlines by setting the fastest overall lap of the week to date at 133.155mph on his 8Ten Racing superstock bike, ahead of a 132.484mph lap from Dean Harrison - with Michael Dunlop a further 13 seconds back on 130.762mph.

With the sidecars most affected so far by the weather, the TT organisers then announced that they would be permitted to race as far as Ramsey - just over halfway on the 37.73-mile course - to give them at least some track time, before being escorted back across the mountain at controlled speeds by the TT’s travelling marshal team.

The organisers will now attempt to complete practice on Sunday - albeit after a delayed start to allow local church services to go ahead around the island. Superbikes and superstocks will again lead the way at 13:30, before sidecars, supersport and supertwin, and then a full repeat.

A schedule for racing, expected to now commence on Monday, has yet to be confirmed, but will likely involve organisers attempting to squeeze in both Saturday’s originally-scheduled supersport and sidecar race as well as Sunday’s six-lap superbike race into what had been earmarked as the first rest day.
