Edd Straw is joined by Ben Anderson and special guest Lawrence Barretto, correspondent and presenter for F1.com and Channel 4 F1, to discuss the news that Fernando Alonso has re-committed his future to Aston Martin.
The Spaniard has signed a new multi-year deal with Aston, which will keep him driving the green car until at least 2026 - the first year of the engine deal with Honda and the debut of F1's new regulations.
Our trio discuss why both parties were keen to take this step, ask what they can realistically achieve together, and address whether Alonso's age might impact their potential.
After that, Edd, Ben and Lawrence take a look at how Alonso's signing affects the rest of the driver market for 2024, before turning their attention back to Aston Martin and assessing the team's long-term potential.
