Given Red Bull’s domination of the 2022 Formula 1 season, it’s no surprise to see the 2023 F1 car designs converging towards its concept.
Most of them, that is. There are two clear exceptions.
And they happen to be the only teams that beat Red Bull to grand prix wins last tyear and the two teams that comprise Red Bull’s main championship opposition.
Ferrari and Mercedes have effectively doubled down on the design ideas behind their 2022 cars, even though those cars were defeated by the Red Bull.
