The latest edition of The Race F1 Podcast examines the state of play in the 2021 Formula 1 driver market, with six teams yet to confirm a full line-up for next season.

While Ferrari, Renault, Williams and McLaren have two drivers in place, there’s still some uncertainty surrounding every other team – with Lewis Hamilton’s long-awaited new Mercedes deal top of the bill.

There’s an in-depth look at Red Bull’s driver situation amid Alex Albon’s ongoing struggles, as well as the question of whether a new driver will be promoted from the junior ranks to join AlphaTauri.

Sebastian Vettel’s prospects of joining the Racing Point team as it changes into Aston Martin Racing are looked at, along with the thorny question of which of the team’s incumbent drivers should be replaced if he were to come in.

With Haas and Alfa Romeo likely to be towards the back of the queue when it comes to choosing drivers, we also discuss the difficult choice Ferrari faces with which driver it opts for to occupy the seat it controls at the Sauber-run team.

Outside of the driver market, the signing of the new Concorde Agreement to cover 2021-2025 and the sale of Williams to Dorilton Capital are also discussed.

The Race F1 Podcast is released at least once week, available from all good podcast suppliers including Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
