The Race can reveal images from Cadillac and Sergio Perez's Imola Formula 1 test using a borrowed Ferrari.
As part of its preparations for the 2026 F1 season, Cadillac is conducting a two-day test with a 2023 car from its engine supplier Ferrari that is running in an all-black livery.

That is essentially as part of a 'loan' of the car, with Cadillac responsible for operating it.
Ferrari is allowed to test two-year-old cars - it did so with new signing Lewis Hamilton at the beginning of the year - under F1's Testing of Previous Cars rules and team principal Fred Vasseur said Ferrari had given two of its days to Cadillac.
As previously reported by The Race, the purpose of the test is not a full-blown affair to pursue set-up changes and chase performance but to establish the right internal practices and develop verbal and physical communication in the garage and over the radio.
This is understood to be the second of two test sessions planned by Cadillac to start putting together its mechanics and race engineers plus Ferrari personnel who will work with the team next year as part of the customer relationship.

The first session, which has already occurred, is believed to have taken place at Ferrari's test facility at Fiorano.
Cadillac also engaged in a full sprint weekend simulation for the first time during last weekend's Brazilian Grand Prix.
