F1 Miami GP 2026 sprint race starting grid as new penalty issued

Lando Norris secured the first non-Mercedes pole position of the 2026 Formula 1 season in qualifying for the Miami sprint race - though he'll share the front row with championship leader Kimi Antonelli.

Here's the full starting grid, which reflects Alex Albon's five-place grid drop - a consequence of a track limits breach in the first part of qualifying only being spotted after SQ2 had started - and a late extra penalty for Arvid Lindblad.

The Racing Bulls rookie has to drop from 15th to a pitlane start because the team broke parc ferme rules by not covering his car. With the team also using one of its curfew exemptions to do further work on the car, it's likely that it didn't cover it knowing Lindblad would have to go to the back anyway.
