Every F1 2024 car launch date

3 min read

Formula 1's traditional launch season is taking place in February, as the teams unveil their challengers ahead of the February 21-23 pre-season test and the March 2 season opener - both in Bahrain.

It will be each of the 10 teams' third car under the current regulations cycle, which runs until the end of 2025.

Find a full list of the 2024 launches below:

Red Bull

February 15

The reigning champion team revealed its new car at a launch on February 15.

The RB20 sports brave new changes, far from the slight evolution of the RB19 that might have been foreseen.

Mercedes

February 14

Mercedes unveiled its W15 car at Silverstone on February 14.

The obvious difference in the new car is a striking silver/black combination livery.

Ferrari

February 13

The Scuderia showcased its new car one day earlier than it had in 2023 with a brief launch video of its new car.

The new car is designated the SF-24, suggesting a pivot to a consistent naming policy after the SF-23's predecessors had been christened the F1-75, the SF21, the SF1000, the SF90, the SF71H and so on.

McLaren

February 14

McLaren showed off its 2024 livery early with a surprise January 'season launch' but withheld its actual MCL38 design until February 14 when it released images ahead of a Silverstone shakedown.

That car is then expected to already undergo some changes for pre-season testing.

Aston Martin

February 12

The Lawrence Stroll-headed operation showed off its 2024 car on February 12.

The car, designated the AMR24, is the fourth Aston Martin in the brand's current iteration in F1.

The team's launch took place at Silverstone, where it is based.

Alpine

February 7

Alpine's fourth F1 car since its rebrand from Renault debuted on February 7, again with dual liveries.

The marque also launched, as part of the same Enstone event, its World Endurance Championship effort, with a car built to LMDh spec to compete in the flagship Hypercar class of the series.

Williams

February 5

A slightly revised livery - with the biggest change the prominent presence of new sponsor Komatsu, a Japanese construction, mining and utility equipment manufacturer - made its debut on February 5 in a 'season launch' event.

The actual FW46 car debuted in a Bahrain shakedown on February 20.

Visa Cash App RB

February 8

The team previously known as Toro Rosso and AlphaTauri launched on February 8 at an event in Las Vegas.

The VCARB 01 is the first car produced by Red Bull's second team under its new Visa Cash App RB name.

Stake

February 5

The former Sauber team debuted its new Stake identity during its 2024 car launch on February 5 ahead of its penultimate season before it becomes Audi's works team in 2026.

Haas

February 2

Haas VF-24, F1

The team which finished last in 2024 will try to kickstart its revival under new team principal Ayao Komatsu, and its launch has already taken place on February 2 - accompanied by some initial VF-24 renders.

That will be followed by actual the new car's first shakedown at Silverstone on February 11.

It will also test in Bahrain two days before pre-season is due to get underway on February 21-23.
