Miami GP to host its first F1 fan festival
The Miami Grand Prix is celebrating its milestone fifth year with the launch of its first official fan festival.
The free, five-day event is set to run from April 29 to May 3 at Lummus Park and is designed to bring the race week experience beyond the track.
Formula 1 track sessions across the weekend, including practice, qualifying, the sprint and the grand prix, will be broadcast live on large screens, offering fans who aren't at the track a central viewing point in Miami Beach.
Alongside the live coverage, fans can also get involved in a variety of activities including: driver and personality appearances, simulator experiences, and interactive challenges - while there's also the chance to see an F1 car up close.
F1 teams and partners will also be involved throughout the weekend. Aston Martin will have a show car on display, while Red Bull's presence will focus on more interactive offerings such as pitstop challenges and simulators.
Elsewhere, brands such as Dermalogica, Ford Racing, Heineken, and Jack Daniel's will be offering product showcases and sampling experiences.
Food, drinks, and entertainment are all part of the wider experience, with DJs and dedicated hospitality areas spread across the site.
The launch of an official Fan Fest highlights F1's ongoing effort to expand the overall event experience, creating meaningful connections with fans during race week especially in key markets such as the United States.
