Robbie Williams to kick off 2027 British Grand Prix weekend

Silverstone has announced British music superstar Robbie Williams as the first headline act for the 2027 Formula 1 British Grand Prix entertainment programme, with the pop icon set to launch the race weekend on Thursday 1 July.

Williams will take to the M&S Mainstage for the opening-night concert at the home of British motorsport. The performance will kick off four days of F1 action and entertainment at Silverstone, combining world-class racing with a festival atmosphere that has become a feature of the British Grand Prix.

The announcement follows a record-breaking attendance of 564,000 fans at Silverstone earlier this year, confirming the event's status as one of the biggest sporting occasions in the UK. Organisers continue to expand the off-track experience, with major music acts playing a central role in the grand prix weekend.

"I've heard Silverstone gets loud... Thursday night on the Mainstage, let's kick off the British Grand Prix properly...." Williams said following the announcement.

Silverstone's concert programme has attracted a string of high-profile artists in recent years, helping transform the British Grand Prix into a major entertainment destination as well as a sporting event. The addition of Williams continues that trend and provides fans with a high-profile opening to the 2027 race weekend.

Access to the concert is included with Thursday event tickets, with evening passes available from £50. Fans can register for artist pre-sale access before tickets go on general sale later this month.
