KitKat has unveiled a life-sized Formula 1 car made of chocolate to celebrate its new partnership with Formula 1.

The creation was ‘unwrapped’ at the iconic Silverstone circuit by former racer and presenter, Billy Monger.

The chocolate car is seriously impressive. Measuring in at five meters long, two meters wide, and weighing in at a hefty 350kg, it’s the equivalent of 16,900 regular two-finger KitKats.

Led by master chocolatier Jen Lindsey-Clark, it took 1254 hours of work to get every intricate detail just right. From an aerodynamic front wing to the rear spoiler, the whole thing was as close to the real deal as KitKat could get.

Monger said: “I’ve seen some incredible cars at Silverstone, but none as unique as this one. In racing, we’re always told to stay focused, but even the best drivers know that you can’t perform without a proper break.

“I’m buzzing to be unveiling this giant KitKat car at the home of British racing to kick off the new season, reminding people to take a break and get ready for all of the action.”

Although fans will not be able to get their hands on the life-sized version, limited-edition mini KitKat F1 chocolate car bars are now available in the UK and Ireland in selected supermarkets.

KitKat will continue partnership activity across the remainder of the 2026 F1 season.
