Hollywood stars Channing Tatum and Brad Pill are teaming up up to produce a live action film centered around the Isle of Man TT, with Tatum set to star.
Pitt’s production company Plan B Entertainment (also producing the upcoming Formula 1 film starring Pitt) is among the listed producers on the project, which has been picked up by Amazon MGM Studios - the venture that came out of tech giant Amazon's acquisition of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, the studio famous for the James Bond franchise.
There is no plot synopsis or character details revealed yet apart from the casing of 45-year-old Tatum, best known for his roles in Magic Mike and Jump Street franchises of movies. It will be the third motorsport-adjacent movie for Tatum, a known bike racing enthusiast, after a supporting role in the largely forgotten 2005 vehicle Supercross and the lead role in Steven Soderbergh's 2017 NASCAR heist movie Logan Lucky.
Set to be directed by Reid Carolin, who made his directorial debut working with Tatum on comedy drama Dog, the movie is being co-written by Carolin, Bryan Johnson and Jason Kellar, who was part of the writing team for the Academy Award Best Picture-nominated Ford v Ferrari, which told story of the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans.
No release date has yet been set for this new project - but filming is almost certain to be centred around next year’s TT races.

The links between F1 and the TT won’t stop with the feature film - as a documentary series produced by Box to Box, the company behind Drive to Survive, is also set to be distributed by Amazon alongside the movie.
Shot at last year’s TT, the four 45-minute episodes will likely act as a teaser to the film project - although no release date has yet been set for that series yet either.
“The impact this is going to make on the TT cannot be overstated, said Paul Phillips, Head of Motorsport at the Manx Government.
“We’re putting the event on a truly global stage and entering the next phase of our digital broadcast strategy. It’s a testament to the sport and the unique nature of the TT that we’re working alongside these world-class partners.”
