MotoGP finally reveals 2027 calendar with Argentina + Adelaide dates
MotoGP has finally announced its long-awaited 2027 calendar, with no major surprises coming from the 22-race schedule for the first year of its new 850cc era.
There is nevertheless some minor movement for some of the season's races, the addition of a new race in Argentina, and the Australian Grand Prix's move from Phillip Island to Adelaide.
The season will kick off, as previously announced, in Thailand on March 7, one week later than in 2026, and is currently scheduled to then head directly to Qatar a week later - although The Race's sources in the paddock believes that could be alternated with October's Indonesian GP should the geopolitical situation in the Middle East remain complicated.
The series will then move to Brazil on April 4, the first part of a double-header that will then take MotoGP back to Argentina for the inaugural race at Buenos Aires' Autodromo Oscar y Juan Galvez, before rounding out the American trip two weeks later at the Circuit of the Americas in Texas.
Jerez will, as usual, host the first European race on May 9, a week before the slightly later French Grand Prix at Le Mans. That will be followed by races at Mugello, Barcelona, Assen, Sachsenring and Brno before the summer break.
Action will resume at Silverstone in August, one week later than usual, before Austria returns to an August date. Misano, Aragon, and a rescheduled Portuguese Grand Prix at Portimao come next before the overseas leg.
Japan starts the flyaway action on October 17 ahead of Malaysia, Indonesia, and the new Adelaide parklands race in mid-November, before the championship heads back to Europe for the traditional conclusion at Valencia on November 28.
