Reigning IndyCar champion Alex Palou joins the latest episode of The Race IndyCar Podcast.
Despite winning last year’s championship, Palou tells hosts Jack Benyon and JR Hildebrand about the redoubled efforts for himself and Chip Ganassi Racing to improve in the off-season.
He addresses why some may have underestimated the start of his title defence – he sits third in the standings after big improvements at tracks he didn’t perfect last year – and how the relationship has (or hasn’t) changed with his team-mates after his title win.
Palou – who has 10 podiums in 19 starts for Ganassi – also reflects on his first career IndyCar win which came at Barber last year, which is the next race on this season’s calendar.
