Jaguar Formula E driver Mitch Evans and World Rallycross frontrunner Kevin Hansen will make their The Race All-Star Cup – Fully Charged by ROKiT Phones debuts this weekend.
Evans and Hansen are two high-profile newcomers for what will be the fifth edition of the event, and the first round of a three-weekend championship.
A former GP3 and Toyota Racing Series champion, Evans is second in the standings of the 2019-20 Formula E season, and has two race wins in the series to his name.
He will join a list of FE full-timers in the race that also includes Stoffel Vandoorne, Nyck de Vries, Maximilian Guenther and James Calado.
Hansen is the 2016 European Rallycross champion, and finished a close third in what was a four-way World RX title fight last year.
Both will be in the second Pro Driver Heat, where they will be joined by other new additions in former WEC LMP2 champion and sometime IndyCar racer Martin Plowman and French F4 2016 champion Yifei Ye.
Despite the switch to a championship format, The Race All Star Cup – Fully Charged by ROKiT Phones will retain its now-familiar format of three heats and a last-chance qualifier race for pro drivers making up the grid for the grand final.
The top simracer in the three-round series will receive a full day’s test in a Formula 1 team’s simulator, while the leading pro driver will have $30,000 donated to the charity of his choice.
Past even winners Jernej Simoncic, Rudy van Buren, Bono Huis and Kevin Siggy will all return in the simracer heat this Saturday.
