Hadjar summoned for alleged paddock misconduct

Isack Hadjar has been summoned by the stewards after alleged misconduct in the Formula 1 paddock at the Mexican Grand Prix.

The FIA stewards called the Red Bull driver to see them for "misconduct relating to an incident in the Formula 1 paddock".

The summons does not specify why Hadjar has been summoned.

A video has circulated on social media appearing to show Hadjar pushing someone who tried to take a selfie with him. It is however unclear whether this is the reason Hadjar has been called to see the stewards at 10.15am local time on Saturday.

As per the FIA's International Sporting Code, "any words, deeds or writings that have caused moral injury or loss to the FIA, its bodies, its members or its executive officers, and more generally on the interest of motorsport and on the values defended by the FIA" can carry a fine of up to €5000.

Fines of up to €20,000 can be applied in other cases and the FIA's sporting code says: "For very serious offences, more severe penalties under the ISC [international sporting code] may be imposed."

Aggravating or mitigating circumstances can however change the penalty imposed.
