Barcelona Grand Prix F1 2026 starting grid with one pitlane start

George Russell will start the Barcelona Grand Prix from pole position after a late effort from Lewis Hamilton fell just short of his former Formula 1 team-mate's time.

But Hamilton's lap did bump championship leader Kimi Antonelli down to third - meaning he will start off the front row for the first time this season.

There are currently no changes to the grid from the end-of-qualifying order - which included Charles Leclerc down in 10th following a crash in Q3 - but Fernando Alonso will start a more-distant 22nd now from the pitlane, due to numerous component changes on his power unit.
