Formula 1 world championship leader Oscar Piastri topped the only free practice session at the Belgian Grand Prix.
Piastri was nearly half a second clear of Max Verstappen's Red Bull and his McLaren team-mate and title rival Lando Norris even after both made last-gasp jumps up the order.
The field now moves straight into preparing for sprint qualifying later on Friday.
