Alpine's 2026 Formula 1 car made its track debut at Silverstone on Wednesday, while Racing Bulls continued with a longer day of running at Imola after its brief outing on Tuesday.

Alpine used the 'filming day' mileage allocation that allows for up to 200km of running to give its new A526 its first run at the British Grand Prix venue with Pierre Gasly driving.

Though some fan footage of the run appeared on social media, Alpine is officially keeping the car under wraps until its launch event on Friday afternoon.

Racing Bulls had carried out a short 'demonstration run' at a wet and cold Imola on Tuesday but this was interrupted by Arvid Lindblad spinning into the gravel at the Villeneuve chicane just after he had taken over from team-mate Liam Lawson.

The team was back out for a 'filming day' on Wednesday, despite freezing early temperatures that delayed the start of its running and continued poor weather.

It managed to cover much greater mileage in the end, though, finishing off with a long run from Lindblad that continued almost into darkness.
