The Race is delighted to announce that we have now launched The Race Members’ Club on Patreon!
Patreon is the biggest platform in the world for building communities around content, and we hope it will allow us to make the Members’ Club even better.
To coincide with this news, we’re also adding MotoGP bonus content to the Members’ Club. And if you only want to enjoy that without any car racing content getting in the way, you can join our bikes-only ‘Riders’ tier on Patreon!
We’re also adding a new higher tier - Champions - with additional benefits including Live Q&As plus more Bring Back V10s bonus material. Our Racers tier will effectively be the same as the existing Members’ Club that is available through our website, with little added benefits like a WhatsApp-style community group that’s available through Patreon.
A big part of these decisions was motivated by feedback from our existing members, including via a recent survey we carried out.
As well as the additional tiers and new benefits we can offer on Patreon, it will also allow us to provide a more user-friendly version of the Members’ Club. Patreon has its own podcast player within its app which is very easy to use, and it will make our exclusive bonus content accessible via Spotify. Plus we can organise our extensive back catalogue of bonus content into ‘Collections’ to make everything easier to find.
Now the page is live, we’d love for you to check it out. You can browse for free to get a better idea of what’s on offer, and even set up a free account to keep up to date with everything that gets released.
This week alone we have published a special Bring Back V10s interview with Williams legend Patrick Head, an F1 Extra Q&A answering more members’ questions about what’s going on in F1 right now, our first MotoGP bonus show, plus our third members-only ‘Ask us Anything’ episode of the year from Bring Back V10s featuring Edd Straw and Gary Anderson.
To register your account, all you have to do is head to our page and choose between the three memberships that we offer:
Riders (£3 per month): A MotoGP-only tier for fans of bike racing who aren't interested in anything with four wheels!
Racers (£4 per month): Get inside the worlds of F1 and MotoGP, and step back in time with Bring Back V10s!
Champions (£7 per month): Total access to everything from The Race!
We’ll also be enabling Patreon’s maximum discount percentage (16%) for anyone who takes out an annual membership.
For our existing members, if you don’t want to switch over, that’s fine. The Members’ Club as you’ve known it up to now will continue to be available via our website, so you don’t have to do anything. You’ll continue to get the same experience from us, and none of the benefits you've been enjoying will be taken away.
Patreon is where the Members' Club comes with the most benefits, but if you already have a website or Apple podcasts subscription and don't wish to make the move to Patreon, you have nothing to be worried about - both will remain in place for the foreseeable future.
