Sebastien Buemi took his first Formula E race victory since July 2019 and his Envision team's first since the 2023 season finale with a surprise triumph in a damp second Monaco race.
Buemi took advantage of an often messy lead battle between polesitter Oliver Rowland's Nissan, Mahindra driver Nyck de Vries and DS Penske's Jean-Eric Vergne to make a break while in attack mode, sneaking ahead of De Vries out of Sainte Devote and then scampering away.
By the time the weekend's pacesetter Rowland - who'd left both his attack modes late - got through to second, he was out of attack mode and Buemi was over three seconds clear.
The result pulls Buemi back ahead of Lucas di Grassi and Mitch Evans onto a Formula E record 14 race wins and is his third FE victory in Monaco.
Jaguar driver Nick Cassidy finally claimed his first podium of the 2024-25 season by fending off Porsche's Antonio Felix da Costa for third, as De Vries and Vergne fell back to fifth and sixth.
