F1 2026 Italian GP starting grid with four penalties

Italian Grand Prix qualifying threw up a real shock as Pierre Gasly and Alpine beat George Russell and Mercedes (and the rest of the Formula 1 frontrunners) to pole position.

But the starting grid wasn't quite set in stone come the end of Q3, as three grid penalties for engine component changes - for Kimi Antonelli, Alex Albon and Liam Lawson - were applied.

And there was a further change, too, as third-place qualifier Oscar Piastri received a three-place grid drop for impeding Lawson in Q2.
