Lindblad gets back-of-the-grid penalty for F1's Malaysia return
Racing Bulls Formula 1 driver Arvid Lindblad will start at the back of the grid in Malaysia this weekend as his team fits new power unit components.
Racing Bulls announced on Thursday at Sepang that Lindblad would take multiple fresh power unit components this weekend that will trigger a back-of-the-grid penalty.
He's not the only driver facing a grid penalty this weekend, as Franco Colapinto has to serve a five-place drop for causing a collision with team-mate Pierre Gasly and McLaren's Lando Norris in Baku.
Colapinto was initially awarded a 10-second time penalty, but as he was out of the race and unable to serve the penalty, it was converted into a five-place grid drop for his next race.
Lindblad had a Turn 1 collision of his own as he ran into team-mate Liam Lawson, but the stewards quickly decided that no further action was required.
