French fashion company Lacoste has named Formula 1 race winner Pierre Gasly as its newest global ambassador.

The Alpine F1 driver will now be the face of the brand's famous Lacoste polo.

The iconic style, invented by the brand's namesake, René Lacoste, was created to offer tennis players greater freedom of movement.

Lacoste states that, with Gasly, the brand will continue its historic alignment with sport alongside a French personality whose "journey and natural elegance echo the values" of the brand.

"Pierre Gasly perfectly embodies the spirit of performance and tenacity that has driven Lacoste since its creation," said Eric Vallat, CEO of Lacoste.

"His international career, his high standards, and his affinity with disciplines such as tennis and golf strongly resonate with our universe. We are delighted to welcome him among the Maison's ambassadors and to open a new chapter with him."

Gasly joins the ranks of other notable Lacoste ambassadors, such as tennis greats Novak Djokovic and Venus Williams, American actor Adrien Brody, and French actress Adèle Exarchopoulos.

Gasly said: "Lacoste is an iconic French Maison that has transformed its sporting heritage into a very contemporary vision of style.

"The polo may be its strongest expression: a piece born on the tennis court that has become a symbol of effortless elegance. I am very happy to be one of its faces today and look forward to bringing this relationship to life through further initiatives in the months ahead."

Gasly is not the only F1 driver to have a personal brand ambassadorship outside of his team commitments.

Lewis Hamilton has long partnered with fashion brands including Dior, Tommy Hilfiger, and, most recently, Canadian activewear brand Lululemon. Following his move to Williams in 2025, Carlos Sainz became a global ambassador for beauty giant L'Oréal Paris and British menswear brand Hackett London. His former Ferrari team-mate, Charles Leclerc, also fronts APM Monaco, Puma, and Ray-Ban as an ambassador.

Partnerships such as these highlight F1's increasing influence within the fashion world, as drivers continue to expand their presence beyond the paddock.
