Aprilia MotoGP satellite team Trackhouse has announced Enea Bastianini as its new signing for the 2027 season.

The 28-year-old will replace Ai Ogura in the Trackhouse roster, following Ogura's [deal with the Yamaha factory team](https://www.the-race.com/motogp/jorge-martin-ai-ogura-yamaha-factory-motogp-line-up-2027-28/). Bastianini will team up with Raul Fernandez, who won the British Grand Prix last weekend.

Like with Fernandez, Bastianini's new Trackhouse deal covers two years, putting him in sync with the conventional MotoGP deal cycle.

A seven-time grand prix winner in MotoGP since his debut in 2021, Bastianini took all seven of those wins as a Ducati rider - but signed a KTM works deal to race for Tech3 in 2025, after his stint as Pecco Bagnaia's factory team-mate at Ducati didn't pan out through injury and underperformance.

He never really settled in as a KTM rider, lamenting a particularly difficult learning curve and a lack of stability from the KTM RC16 bike - and with his positive momentum in 2025 snuffed out by the exit of his long-time crew chief Alberto Giribuola.

Though he has by and large been KTM's second-best rider this year, he has been comprehensively outshone by Pedro Acosta - and seemed to make up his mind about leaving the KTM camp very early on, even as it held a 2027 option on his services.

A return to Gresini Ducati was floated as one possibility but Joan Mir [took that spot](https://www.the-race.com/motogp/motogp-2027-silly-season-joan-mir-gresini-ducati-enea-bastianini-trackhouse-aprilia/).

Instead, Bastianini will be the third Italian rider in Aprilia's 2027 roster, behind factory duo Marco Bezzecchi and Bagnaia.

"\[Enea's\] racing pedigree, his MotoGP winning history, and his experience at the top of this game all contribute to the perfect scenario for a racing team that we all believe is on the verge of greatness," said team owner Justin Marks.

"Enea’s infectious personality, eagerness to get started, humility, and positivity are the attributes we always look for in our mission to attract athletes that are the entire package."
