Sam Smith and Andrew van de Burgt are joined by Formula E CEO, Jamie Reigle, to discuss not only the next sporting, technical and commercial steps for the championship, but also how it came to recover from the disruption of the ongoing pandemic.

Ex-Manchester United and LA Rams commercial chief Reigle gives a fascinating insight into how he and his various teams are planning to re-engage potential new manufacturers and protect the six still left in the championship after the blows of Audi, Porsche and Mercedes’ recent withdrawals.

Additionally, the subject of how Formula E can co-exist with a growing Formula 1 in the future is discussed, while addressing the needs for live entertainment businesses in sport to grow before monetised sufficiently.

The fallout, learnings and adaptation of the rules after last April’s difficult Valencia ePrix are also mulled over, as Reigle gives one of his most revealing interviews to date.
