After a wild 2025 Formula 1 silly season, attention quickly turned to who will take a place on the 2026 grid.

With the field now set following the announcement of the [two Red Bull teams' line-ups](https://www.the-race.com/formula-1/yuki-tsunoda-f1-2026-no-seat-red-bull-line-ups/), here's our team-by-team rundown of who is driving for who in 2026:

## McLaren

**Lando Norris**
**Oscar Piastri**

While any top team would love to have Lando Norris or Oscar Piastri, McLaren has both drivers locked down on long-term deals that cover 2026\.

## Ferrari

**Charles Leclerc**
**Lewis Hamilton**

Charles Leclerc signed a new deal with Ferrari in 2024 that will reportedly keep him in the team until at least the end of 2029\.

His new team-mate Lewis Hamilton joined at the start of 2025 on a deal that should ensure he stays at Ferrari for two years minimum.

## Red Bull

**Max Verstappen**
**Isack Hadjar**

Max Verstappen is in the middle of a bumper Red Bull contract that *should* keep him at the team until at least the end of 2028.

That hadn't stopped speculation about his future beyond the end of 2025 though, with Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff openly courting Verstappen at points - but it is now known the four-time champion will at least stay with Red Bull into 2026.

The identity of his 2026 team-mate was confirmed at the start of December, with Isack Hadjar promoted to the main team after a stellar rookie season at Racing Bulls.

Yuki Tsunoda drops out of Red Bull's race pool altogether, though he will stay on as test and reserve driver.

## Mercedes

**George Russell**
**Kimi Antonelli**

After a perhaps surprisingly long wait, George Russell has been confirmed for at least one more year at Mercedes - with some wriggle room on both sides over [whether that deal will go on beyond 2026](https://www.the-race.com/formula-1/our-verdict-george-russell-new-mercedes-f1-deal-curious-omission/).

It's likely Mercedes has a long-term deal with Antonelli and it also made clear he's staying for next season at the same time as Russell's new deal was announced.

## Aston Martin

**Fernando Alonso**
**Lance Stroll**

Aston Martin has a new engine partner for 2026 in Honda but it will retain its Fernando Alonso/Lance Stroll driver line-up for a fourth consecutive season.

## Alpine

**Pierre Gasly**
**Franco Colapinto**

Pierre Gasly committed to a multi-year extension with Alpine in the middle of its rollercoaster 2024 season.

Franco Colapinto will stay on as his team-mate, having won out over test driver Paul Aron once Alpine narrowed its options down to those two.

## Haas

**Esteban Ocon**
**Ollie Bearman**

Haas's new-for-2025 pairing of Esteban Ocon and Ollie Bearman both have contracts to continue into 2026\.

## Racing Bulls

**Liam Lawson**
**Arvid Lindblad**

The Racing Bulls line-up was announced at the same time as its senior team's in early December.

Arvid Lindblad has been waiting in the wings as Red Bull's potential next big thing and will graduate to F1 for 2026\. He will race alongside Liam Lawson - who has rebuilt his reputation since his demotion from Red Bull after just two rounds of the 2025 season.

## Williams

**Carlos Sainz**
**Alex Albon**

Williams secured the services of Carlos Sainz on a multi-year deal in 2024 meaning he'll lead Williams into F1's new era alongside Alex Albon, who is set to return for a fifth season with the team.

## Audi

**Nico Hulkenberg**
**Gabriel Bortoleto**

The team currently known as Sauber will fully morph into a fully-fledged Audi works effort in 2026.

Nico Hulkenberg is the first confirmed driver, having secured a three-year deal back in April 2024\.

His rookie 2025 team-mate Gabriel Bortoleto was announced not just as a Sauber driver but a 'future Audi driver', which reflects him arriving on a multi-year deal and means he should have the seat still in 2026.

## Cadillac

**Sergio Perez**
**Valtteri Bottas**

F1's new team Cadillac was a major figure in the rumour mill through the year - until it settled on two tried-and-true choices, Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas, who combined have over 500 grand prix starts.

Cadillac admitted hiring Bottas was an easy sell for the team - but it did more due dilligence over Perez given his Red Bull struggles and subsequent absence from F1 paddock, though was ultimately satisfied he was the right man for the job.
