McLaren’s 2021 Formula 1 season featured its first grand prix victory since 2012, the only 1-2 finish achieved by any team all year, and a performance more competitive on pure pace than its on-paper better 2020 season.

And it was achieved despite facing a significant and controversial development restriction during the winter.
