Having lost Red Bull while in the middle of racking up Formula 1 championships with it, Honda has at least secured Red Bull’s current main threat Aston Martin as its next F1 partner for 2026.

And the deal also elevates Aston Martin from customer to works status – a crucial move for its huge ambitions.

But while this is clearly a good move for both parties, there are also plenty of challenges to overcome if Aston Martin and Honda want to hit the ground running together in 2026.
