The Tuscan Grand Prix has been red-flagged for a second time following a heavy crash for Lance Stroll just before three-quarters distance.

Stroll immediately reported a puncture after the accident that took place going into the second of the Arrabbiata corners.

His Racing Point snapped into a high-spin spin and went across the gravel into the barriers. He appeared to be unhurt but the tyre barrier requires reconstruction.

Stroll was chasing Daniel Ricciardo’s Renault for third at the time, having been jumped for the final podium place during the pitstops.

The race [had already been stopped once due to a massive crash](https://www.the-race.com/formula-1/f1s-first-tuscan-gp-red-flagged-after-huge-restart-crash/) at an early safety car restart that left Carlos Sainz Jr, Antonio Giovinazzi, Nicholas Latifi and Kevin Magnussen’s cars heavily damaged.

Lewis Hamilton took the lead from Mercedes team-mate Valtteri Bottas around the outside of the first corner at the subsequent restart and was controlling the race prior to Stroll’s accident.
