The latest episode of the Aramco F1 Focus podcast looks at the ripple effect mid-season Formula 1 driver swaps can have in what remains a confidence-driven championship.

Podcast host Tim Silvey is joined by Sean ‘Virtual Statman’ Kelly and resident racing driver Alex Brundle, and it’s Brundle who – in the context of Nyck de Vries being dropped in favour of Daniel Ricciardo at AlphaTauri – examines how such changes affect a driver’s mentality, particularly considering the cut-throat nature of De Vries’ exit in very public circumstances.

Kelly later dives into the subject of early title successes, with the possibility that Red Bull’s runaway 2023 points leader Max Verstappen could wrap up this year’s championship with more races remaining than any driver in F1 history.
