Olympic legend Sir Chris Hoy and DTM race-winner Phillip Eng will represent Red Bull in Formula 1’s official Bahrain Virtual Grand Prix on Sunday.

F1 is [holding a series of virtual races](https://www.the-race.com/formula-1/f1-to-run-online-races-with-current-f1-drivers/) during the current calendar delay caused by the coronavirus pandemic, with a mix of current drivers, racers from elsewhere in motorsport and celebrities taking part using the F1 2019 PC video game.

The winner of six Olympic golds in track cycling, Hoy has focused on motorsport in recent years. He has competed primarily in sportscars, winning the LMP3 title in the 2015 European Le Mans Series alongside Charlie Robertson.

Red Bull-backed Eng is part of BMW’s DTM and factory sportscar line-up.

Williams’s rookie signing Nicholas Latifi is the only 2020 F1 driver announced as taking part in the event so far.

Ferrari is fielding two members of its Driver Academy programme – reigning FIA Formula 3 champion Robert Shwartzman and karting graduate Dino Beganovic.
