Lewis Hamilton's blockbuster switch from Mercedes to Ferrari for 2025 is as complicated as it is exciting, and that comes at a price.

That's because he's the only driver moving Formula 1 teams for 2025 who won't get a chance to start his preparations early by driving in the post-season Abu Dhabi test next week.

There's always something symbolic when you see new faces in new places (which there'll be plenty of) in that test - which acts as 'day zero' of F1 2025 and offers a fun glimpse into the future.

Unfortunately for Ferrari and anyone excited about the Hamilton era starting, everybody's got to wait a little longer - the reasons for which are explored in our video.
