More than 1200 potential track limit offences had to be reviewed by race control at Formula 1’s Austrian Grand Prix.

How did that situation arise and does the rule or the circuit need to change to prevent this from reoccurring in the future? Or should the drivers simply do more to stay within the confines of the track and avoid picking up penalties?

Edd Straw is joined at the Red Bull Ring by Scott Mitchell-Malm, Mark Hughes and Josh Suttill to answer those questions on the latest episode of The Race F1 Podcast.

Also discussed are Ferrari’s potential resurgence, the sparkling debut of McLaren’s upgrade, Mercedes’ lack of pace throughout the weekend and the second sprint race of 2023.

Throughout the episode the team tackles questions from [The Race Members’ Club](https://www.the-race.com/members-club/) on a range of topics from what to do about the track limits debacle to how likely it is that Sergio Perez stays at Red Bull next year.
