# Bring Back V10s: The inside story of Jordan’s first F1 race

Phoenix 1991: Formula 1’s last race in the United States for nearly a decade, and a dominant win for Ayrton Senna and McLaren.

But it was also the debut for a little team that would become one of F1’s best-loved underdogs.

The Race’s own Gary Anderson shares the inside story of Jordan’s first ever F1 race with Glenn Freeman and Sam Smith in the latest episode of our Bring Back V10s podcast.

It was a significant race for teams with a much longer F1 history too, as Lotus gave Mika Hakkinen what turned out to be a slightly alarming F1 debut and Brabham started a Yamaha tie-up that it predicted would result in race wins by 1992…
