# Russell to get his own grandstand at the 2027 British GP

*You* get a grandstand, *you* get a grandstand - and now so does George Russell.

The Mercedes driver today announced that he will have his own *‘GRandstand’* at the 2027 British Grand Prix.

“I’m really excited to announce that in 2027, for the grand prix, we’re going to have our own GR grandstand,” Russell said in the announcement video on social media.

Located at Farm Curve, the grandstand offers a view of the first four corners. Russell said: “It’s a really, really cool place on the circuit. It’s one of the best in my opinion.”

The driver was asked about the possibility of his own home grandstand at this year’s British Grand Prix - to which he said it was something he would like to do.

He then went on to joke that he would like to take Lando Norris’ Landostand location from him. 

"Where I'd like to put it? Probably, I mean, Lando's got quite a good spot on the outside of Stowe, so I'll try and steal it off him."

Norris was quick to respond with a quippy “good luck!”.

Further information is yet to be released but on-sale dates are expected in the next few months.
